Overview: The Society of Freshman Engineers (SFE) is dedicated to providing leadership, professional, and social development opportunities for first-year students within the Cockrell School of Engineering. SFE provides resources to introduce first-year students to the greater engineering community and encourage them to pursue a well-rounded college experience. Additionally, SFE gives its members leadership experience by allowing first-year students to brainstorm, plan, and execute various events. Through team building activities like intramural sports, corporate networking events like Corporate Chili Cook-Off, and event planning opportunities like Cardboard Regatta, we strive to build strong relationships between older, undergraduate peer mentors and first-year students within the Cockrell community.
